Tears for Prince, the man, the myth, the legend

I just read some comments on a YouTube video about Prince. One of the commenters responded with, " how can you respect someone who was a Jehovah Witness, seriously, man!". This made me ponder my own idealology about some of the celebrities I 'dislike' because I don't care for the way they conduct their personal lives. Is this wrong? I'm beginning to think it is. For example, for many, many years I have not cared for ANY new movies that have starred Tom Cruise. Why?
